Off The Beaten Path is a gritty, epic adventure novel set in the Red Lantern universe. Like Rukis’ other books, it is character-driven and includes a fantastically well-developed main cast. At times very dark, it has parallels to real-world colonisation. The plot seems simple at first but was executed amazingly.
