An ordinary family with whom our valliant rogue Malloy was acquainted in Maranatha City, who also happen to have embraced certain skills that a man like Malloy can certainly appreciate. Burglary, after all, is an art and a science, and a heist as ambitious as what he’s proposing takes a close-knit team to pull it off.
A mother’s love for her sons is a power not to be trifled with, and when the shit hits the fan (as it always does when Malloy’s around) even our favorite badass dog has a hard time keeping up. And to think, she’s a chick!
This story shows us a different side of Malloy, a man caught in the conflict between his desire for the love of a family and the secrets and ambitions that just keep on coming back to haunt him.
Does he even realize how far those secrets will push him away from the peace he so desperately wants? And how many more people have to find out, the hard way, that things are never better when he’s around?
