All I wanted out of life was to catch the bad guys during the day, and find a guy to bring to bed for the night.
A quadruple murder wasn’t going to be an easy case to solve, but Alice and I were ready for it. What I didn’t expect was the familiar feeling I got from the room in the basement, or for the FBI to take the case from us.
I should have let it rest, should have moved on, but I couldn’t. I pushed. I kept pushing even after being told to stop. I pushed my way into a part of the world I didn’t know existed, that I would have never believed could exist.

Here’s my first review of a book :), though keep in mind that i read the whole series of “Inheriting the line” series . And it might contain spoilers !

The story itself explores the struggle between modern society and hidden spiritual legacy, of gods and secret societies, that still has power over how the world functions.
The modern world doesn’t know about all of this, and as any secret society in real life, tries to keep everything hidden, because of the fear of everything going to hell, if ordinary people find out.
The main character , Denton.. young policeman, who lost its original family in suspect ways, loses his adoptive family and his job ,because of who he truly is.
Because of his legacy, that his original family left. Denton will have to find ways to survive and make allies and also reap the pleasures from his status within the secret society he is in. For me is the a good combination of fantasy, modern setting, drama that i can relate to.. and let’s not forget about the naughty bits, that most furry stories can’t do without.. even though this story can do without the naughty stuff.
As you might have guessed, this story is not for everyone’s taste.. but if you are open minded, you might actually enjoy it.
